The Orleans County Board of Realtors is hosting Rockin’ Out for Humanity, a dance to benefit the NEK Habitat for Humanity chapter. The OCBR hopes to bring awareness to residents of this valuable resource and raise money to help fund local projects.
According to the NEK Habitat for Humanity, website they have severed more than 145 families in Albany, Barnet, Barton, Brownington, Concord, Coventry, Craftsbury, Danville, Derby, East Burke, East Charleston, East Haven, Glover, Greensboro Bend, Greensboro, Groton, Hardwick, Irasburg, Island Pond, Lowell, Lunenburg, Lyndon Center, Lyndonville, Newark, Newport, Orleans, Peacham, Ryegate, Sheffield, St. Johnsbury, Sutton, and West Burke since its inception in 2007.
The fun begins at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, at the Elks Lodge in Derby, with Raized on Radio providing the music. In addition, food trucks will be on-site and there will be a live auction. Tickets will only be sold in advance, contact a Century 21 Farm & Forest office or agent to purchase your tickets.
