OUR HISTORY
Dan Maclure entered the real estate business in 1984, after careers in the building trades and dairy farming. His desire was to help buyers and sellers purchase and sell farms, and in 1993 he founded Farm & Forest Realty and opened an office on Main Street in Orleans. In 2006, Nick Maclure, Dan’s son, came on board to co-manage the firm. Megan Maclure, Nick’s wife, joined the team in 2013 to help manage the business. Over the years, with hard work, the acquisition of other firms, and the purchase of the CENTURY 21® franchise, the company has grown and flourished. Today, CENTURY 21 Farm & Forest has offices in Derby and East Burke, with a dedicated team of agents and support staff that has helped make it the top-producing firm in the Northeast Kingdom, and the top Century 21 franchise in Vermont.
