Brief History: Irasburg, VT was one of the towns named after Ira Allen. It is one of the few towns in VT that had women listed as Grantees. It was established prior to 1790.

General Area Info: Neighboring towns include: Brownington, Coventry, Newport Center, Lowell, Barton and Albany. Irasburg was home to a round barn owned by the Robillard Family, which was destroyed by fire in 2016. It was located on Rte 58 in the Irasburg Flats. The town center is very pretty with its Common and lots of old world charm!

Attractions: Black River, Lords Creek Covered Bridge, Pete the Moose, VAST Trails, Tree Corners Family Campground.

Recreational Activities: Fishing, canoeing, X-Country skiing, snowmobiling VAST Trails. Every year Irasburg holds their annual Irasburg Fair Day at the common grounds in the village with food, craft stands, games for the kids, parade, fireworks and they are especially famous for the BBQ chicken dinner!
