- The town reported a population of 2 at the 2020 census; however, since it shares a census block with nearby towns and gores it is possible the actual population remained at 0.
- The idea for The 251 Club of Vermont came from Dr. Arthrur W. Peach in 1954, who suggested that people travel to all 251 of the cities, organized towns, unorganized towns, and gores throughout the state “to discover the secret and lovely places that main roads do not reveal. The unorganized town of Lewis is often one of the more difficult locations for club members to check off their list.
