Vermont Real Estate

Agent of the Week: Andrea Kupetz

About Andrea

After 29 years of experience in real estate running my own company, Burke Mill Properties, named for the lumber mill owned by 3 generations of my family, I have joined the Farm & Forest Team. I have a strong knowledge and love of Burke and the surrounding area.   Having grown up skiing and ski racing, I passed that on to my children while teaching and coaching at Burke Mt. for many years.  I enjoy that special connection with the many families who are coming to the Burke area, falling in love with all that we have to offer here and wanting to find a spot of their own. I have many loyal clients and customers to thank for my successes in the real estate business and look forward to continuing that trend with Century 21 Farm & Forest.

Here's what our satisfied customers are saying about Andrea:

I have known and worked with Andrea for over 20 years. Century 21 Farm & Forest is lucky to have her.

~ Paul Valentine, East Burke, VT

It was very stressful selling my family home. Andrea understood that from the beginning and was very careful with the more clinical side in selling my home. Andrea was present for all showings, inspections and continued checking in on my progress packing and moving. I'm very pleased how it turned out.

~ Holly, Burke, VT

Although contractually representing the seller, Andrea was extremely helpful in terms of getting the transaction done. She was very responsive, had significant market knowledge, was very prompt with contract documents and communication, and we would recommend her to anyone.

~ Sara Ecker & Robert Christensen

Working with Andrea and Century 21 Farm & Forest made the daunting process of buying a home exciting, enjoyable, and easy!  Andrea's knowledge, plus the positive relationships she has in the area, allowed me to immediately feel welcomed as she introduced me not only to homes, but new neighbors and fellow community members.  I truly appreciated her patience and understanding.  She is now a dear friend.  I wholeheartedly recommend Andrea to anyone and everyone!

Hope on the Horizon for Home Buyers

According to Danielle Hale, Realtor.com chief economist, low mortgage rates are an important factor helping prospective homebuyers. "Despite the ongoing challenges of today's housing market, including limited inventory, lightning-fast home sales and competition from investors with deep pockets, many buyers are finding ways to persist until they find and close on a home," said Hale.

For prospective buyers who are thinking of pausing their search, Hale noted that there is usually a seasonal reprieve in the competition as we head into fall. "Although we didn't see this sweet spot last fall as buyers were making up for time lost to lockdowns, there are signs that we'll see it this year," she stated.

Lawrence Yun, chief economist for the National Association of Realtors, said he has heard reports from NAR member agents that fewer homes are being sold for more than the asking price than earlier this year, and there's less intensity around bidding wars. In addition, he expects there will be a point this year when inventory will be greater than last year.

Agent of the Week: Constance Isabelle

        About Constance

The Northeast Kingdom truly is a place I love & a wonderful place to live and pursue my career. Like many who come to enjoy Vermont's beauty, I am still overjoyed with the changes of the seasons and spending time with family and friends in our great outdoors. With a heritage rich in French traditions, I have a true appreciation for the many cultures that enrich our area.  I am a 2019 recipient of the Century 21 Masters Ruby award for consistent high production, quality service and dedication.  I look forward to the opportunity of sharing my understanding of the area with you to effectively market your property or to achieve the dream of home ownership in a place that I am proud to call home.

Here's what our satisfied customers are saying about Connie:

Connie Isabelle did a real FANTASTIC job with our sale in Island Pond.  From the start, she has been a great help, very professional and was perfect from A to Z.  We owe her many many thanks!

        ~ Nadine Mularczyk

Connie Isabelle sold my 43,000 square foot factory that had been vacant for a year and a half.  From the very beginning she was the consummate professional - she managed the whole process flawlessly.  We had a very difficult buyer and she was able to see the sale over the finish line.  She did extremely well in maintaining the price that we required.  When there were negotiations to be made, she easily carried them out and each party was satisfied.  When the buyer requested a delay in the closing date she locked them down tightly to a new one.  Any issues with the building during the inspections were relayed to the buyer and solved by the seller.  In summary, the sale went through in large part to her jumping into the process, helping solve all the issues, and getting everyone to the finish line.  Connie make this happen, with her excellent skills as a broker.  I would not hesitate to hire her again to sell any piece of property I owned. She is the best.

~ Aminta K. Conant, owner Caledonia Spirits

Connie helped stage the house with furniture so it would sell faster.  She checked the fuel for me to see how much was left in the tanks.  She was such a professional sales broker.  I would recommend Connie Isabelle because of her honesty, kindness and her good humor.  She was comfortable to be around.

        ~ Nancy Rice

After having recently closed a sale with Connie Isabelle, I can assure you that you'll be in good hands with her as your listing agent.  She handled all the minute and fussy details inherent in any real estate transaction with grace and professionalism, was prompt, efficient and always available to answer questions, offer excellent advice, and work with the interests of the client foremost in her mind.  I'd heartily recommend her.

        ~ Bill Northey, Albany, VT
