Bald Hill Pond – Located almost entirely within the 932-acre Bald Hill Wildlife Management Area, Bald Hill Pond is a 105-acre glacial pond that has a maximum depth of 42 feet. Here you will be surrounded by mountains and solitude, as there are just a few cottages around the pond. In spring 2022, the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department stocked the pond with a new strain of Rainbow Trout, the Eagle Lake strain, and the state is asking anglers to report on the rainbow trout they catch. Other species you may catch here include Brook Trout, Smelt, and Sunfish. Loons, Great Blue Herons, Common and Hooded Mergansers, Painted and Snapping Turtles, and several types of Frogs are among the wildlife you may spot during a day on the water.
