May 7: Arbor Day Celebration. 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum. Families with children ages 5-10 can meet in the Athenaeum’s backyard for a reading of The Tree Lady by H. Joseph Hopkins. Each family will receive a Sugar Maple Grow Kit, courtesy of the Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Program. May 20: World Bee Day Celebration. 3:00 p.m. at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum. For children ages 5-10 with a caregiver. Meet in the Athenaeum’s backyard for a reading of The Honeybee by Kirsten Hall & Isabelle Arsenault. Each child will receive an activity pack.
